So yesterday, my internet connection was playing up so I restarted my computer, as that tends to solve the problem, to be confronted with the awful message 'ress F1 to continue, Hard Drive corrupt', or something along those lines. Now, I spent last week backing up a lot of my older stuff on my laptop, and I'd been hoping to get a portable harddrive for my birthday, on the 12th Feb, so all my photography could go on it. I don't have a DVD drive, so to put everything onto CD was taking forever.
Now it seems, I might have lost all my photography, all my poetry, all my music, all my uni work (thankfully its all been handed in and I wasn't working on anything), all my photographs of my friends and nights out, and most upsetting for me, all my photos of me and ~SayuriSaku my ex and best friend, and of me and Jessie, my best friend, who was killed when I was 17. A tech at my Dads office is gonna take a look for me, but I'm not holding any hope Luckily, I can get all my photos off DA fullsize as I always upload them fullsize so they are backed up on here, and I send ~violetscar a lot of fullsize files, but it all the other stuff I really want. He reckons we can buy a device which might be able to save my data.
So lesson learned, back everything up the instant you get it, don't wait till you can afford to do it in an easier way. I'm pretty devasted and it makes me want to cry to think of all my hardwork gone, but I won't ever let it happen again.

So no new work for now, as I'm on my brothers computer, I do have a shoot at the weekend with the lovely ~lady-wildflower but it might be a while before I have a functioning laptop and photoshop again

And did I mention my car accident? I crashed my car on the way back from uni two weeks ago, I was the only one hurt thankfully, mostly bruising and tissue damage.

And to top all that off, the garage who are fixing my car just rang. It might be a write off after all so far 2008 is just not my year. I need a car and a laptop to get to uni and do my work, and I start again next week. Fuck.
